Installing the Recommended Plugins
Once the theme is activated, you will see a notice that looks like this:
Press the “Begin installing plugins” link and install all required plugins.
Repeat the activation process for each plugin.
You will then have successfully installed and configured all of the required plugins. Please note that this article is intended as a Quick Start Guide. Some plugins might require further configuration before being fully activated. For complete plugin activation information, please refer to our website documentation.
Importing the Demo
Should you want to preload your site with the demo content and images, you can do so using the WordPress Importer.
Go to Light & Bold’s welcome screen and click on the Import Demo Content button.
Then, start the Import.
This process can take a while, depending on the server company that hosts your website. Please wait until the import is completed.
Configuring the Menus
The Light & Bold theme comes with two built-in menu locations:
- A primary menu (the main menu on the left of the screen)
- A sub-footer menu (the menu at the bottom of the site)
Let’s start by creating your first menu. Go to Appearance > Menus, enter a name and press the “Create Menu” button.
Once your first menu is active, choose the pages, posts or custom links that you want to be included in it.
Don’t forget to select the theme location for where you want this menu to be visible, and press the “Save Menu” button.
Choosing Menu Icons (Optional)
To add icons to your menu items, go to Appearance > Menus, choose the menu item you want and add the icon name in the field “Icon name”.

Don’t forget to save the menu before leaving the page.
Configuring the Sidebars
The Light & Bold theme is built with the following sidebars:
- Footer 1 (Left footer sidebar)
- Footer 2 (Left middle footer sidebar)
- Footer 3 (Right middle footer sidebar)
- Footer 4 (Right footer sidebar)
- Blog sidebar (Visible only on blog archive pages and on the single post page)
- Page sidebar (Visible only on pages)
To set up your sidebars, go to Appearance > Widgets. Then drag and drop the desired widgets on the desired sidebar and hit the “Save” button.
